At Bivona Child Advocacy Center, we facilitate a collaboration of professionals who specialize in child abuse. They protect, treat and counsel children and their families so the journey of healing can begin.

Our mission

The mission of Bivona Child Advocacy Center is to coordinate and provide services and support to meet the needs of child victims of sexual or physical abuse and their families at a single and safe, child-friendly facility. The Center is committed to reducing trauma, promoting accountability, fostering healing, and advocating on behalf of child victims of sexual and physical abuse.

Our vision

That every child has access to the services of a children’s advocacy center.

Bivona Summit on Child Abuse

Each April we host our Annual Bivona Summit on Child Abuse, featuring a nationally and regionally noted child abuse experts in a host of workshops and panel discussions. Contact us if you’d like to be included on next year’s invitation list.

Board Member

Elizabeth (Liz) Alo

PR/Marketing Committee Chair

Liz is the Managing Partner and Senior Consultant of Vitalwork, Inc., a 20-year old Learning and Development firm that specializes in employee engagement.

Liz has a BS in Marketing from Michigan State University and an MBA (Marketing emphasis) from Wayne State University.

Prior to joining Vitalwork in 2002, Liz had nine years of experience in the corporate world with time split between Global Crossing and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).

She is a member of Vistage, the world’s largest CEO organization. She is also a certified Crucial ConversationsTM facilitator.

Prior to joining the Bivona team, Liz was a Junior Achievement volunteer, teaching first through third graders.

Liz facilitated the Bivona Appreciation Day event for our partner agencies in 2007 and 2008.

She spends her free time reading, cooking, and traveling.
