Our mission

The mission of Bivona Child Advocacy Center is to coordinate and provide services and support to meet the needs of child victims of sexual or physical abuse and their families at a single and safe, child-friendly facility. The Center is committed to reducing trauma, promoting accountability, fostering healing, and advocating on behalf of child victims of sexual and physical abuse.

That every child has access to the services of a children’s advocacy center.

Bivona Summit on Child Abuse

Each April we host our Annual Bivona Summit on Child Abuse, featuring a nationally and regionally noted child abuse experts in a host of workshops and panel discussions. Contact us if you’d like to be included on next year’s invitation list.

Board Member

Tim Jones

Vice Chairperson

A native of Rochester, Tim has been involved in commercial banking and finance his entire career and is currently a Vice President/Group Manager with M&T Bank’s Commercial Lending Group. In this role, Tim supervises a team of commercial lending officers and manages a client portfolio of approximately 65 client relationships, in addition to directing new business initiatives.

Prior to M&T, he was most recently a Sr. Vice President and Director of Business Development for UPS Capital Corp. from 1997 to 2005, where he managed a team of commercial lending professionals in the mid-Atlantic region. Earlier in his career, Tim also spent two years at Chase Lincoln First Bank, where he successfully completed the bank’s commercial training program.

At M&T, Tim’s primary responsibilities include supervising and directing the credit management and business development activities of his group, while providing coaching and support. This requires the achievement of sales goals, while monitoring the portfolio for appropriate risk/return metrics.

During his career, Tim has been active in various organizations, including the United Way, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and, most recently, served on the board of The Mental Health Association from 1995 to 2007.  While at the MHA, Tim served as Treasurer and on several board committees, including Finance, Nominating and various fundraising event committees.

Tim received his Bachelors degree in Economics from Ithaca College in 1987 and an MBA in Finance from RIT in 1998.
