Michael Wood

Michael R. Wood is Chief of Court Security for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Mike retired after 21 years of service with the Rochester Police Department, ending his RPD career as Commanding Officer of the Homicide/Major Crimes Unit, the group responsible for investigating intra-familial child abuse cases in the City of Rochester.
During his law enforcement career, Mike has held a variety of operational, administrative and executive level positions.
A Rochester native, Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Management from LeMoyne College in Syracuse.
Mike and his wife, Ann, live in Penfield and have three children.
