Bivona Child Advocacy Center Accredited by National Children’s Alliance

ROCHESTER, N.Y. April 26, 2006

Less than two years after opening its doors, the Bivona Child Advocacy Center (BCAC) has earned accreditation from the National Children’s Alliance (NCA).

By becoming accredited, the BCAC gains access to funding streams restricted to accredited agencies as well as the right to use the NCA name and logo and network with other professionals in the field of child abuse treatment and prevention.

Bivona Selected as Finalist for Nathaniel Award

The Bivona Child Advocacy Center (BCAC) has been selected as one of six finalists for the Nathaniel Award. Selected by representatives of the Rochester legal community, the annual award honors individuals and organizations that go above and beyond the call of duty in the name of justice. The Nathaniel Award winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 20th during a reception at the Memorial Art Gallery.

6th Annual Wine Tasting Event Features “Champion for Children” Award

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK- September 24, 2008

The Bivona Child Advocacy Center will host its annual Wine Tasting event Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 5:30 pm at Max of Eastman Place in Rochester. Over 250 supporters of the Bivona Child Advocacy Center and representatives of the organization’s partner agencies will attend the event which boasts great food, wine and terrific raffle and live auction items. This year there will be micro brew tasting as well!

Bivona Announces Facility Expansion

New Offices Will Provide Additional Resources for Children Affected by Abuse

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK - December 16, 2008

The Bivona Child Advocacy Center (BCAC) today announced the expansion of its facility, adding over 500 additional square feet of office space. An existing room in the center is being renovated and will now have two additional offices and four workstations. The modifications are necessary to enhance the current relationships the BCAC has with its partner organizations, and to add space for future partnerships.

Bivona Announces First Annual Summit on Child Abuse

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK- April 24, 2009

The Bivona Child Advocacy Center announces its first Bivona Summit on Child Abuse, a one-day conference for professionals who work with children to learn more about child sexual and physical abuse issues.

The Bivona Summit on Child Abuse will be held Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Rochester Plaza Hotel & Conference Center. The event marks the conclusion of National Child Abuse Prevention Month and is partially sponsored by Monroe Plan for Medical Care.
